Dina Mostovaya speaks at Global MediaTech Day in Barcelona
In September, Dina Mostovaya was invited to speak at Global MediaTech Day in Barcelona, on the panel “How Technology is Changing Established Media Business.” She joined moderator Mike Butcher and fellow speakers Karim Fanous, Peter De Paepe, and Roderick Chia.
Global MediaTech Pitch Day is a high-profile event where startups from around the world showcase innovative media solutions and connect directly with investors, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders. This year’s event was hosted by Raw Ventures in Barcelona, Spain.
Dina spoke about whether, from a PR perspective, media and entertainment startups should tell a different kind of story than tech startups, and how to do it. She outlined three key elements: storytelling style, choice of channels, and positioning. She also addressed the hardest part of crafting PR messaging for a global audience: finding the balance between universality and local authenticity.
The session concluded with a discussion on the storytelling strategies that engage investors today, highlighting the need for clarity, cultural insight, and emotionally resonant positioning.
